First long-haul holiday ever and with J.Y. It was brilliant though, unlike the 6th Sept. tour, the weather 'socked in ' (love that phrase) which meant 2 gondola trips were cancelled as were the helicopter rides in the early days of the tour.
After initial disappointment over the(confusing) itinerary re Rocky Mountaineer, the one day trip was great, in spite of the torrential rain during our time in Whistler. Ken, our train coach manager, made sure we enjoyed our time on the R.M.
I loved Vancouver. Hats off to Nigel for arranging the dinner in the Cloud 9 revolving restaurant in Vancouver - surely one of the highlights of this holiday.
The Buchart Gardens certainly gave lots of ideas for future planting back home.
Hoping to do the 5-day Hong Kong trip in about 3 years time if it's still running then!
