Just returned from this trip.
Many Thanks to Wendy,Tour Manager, for looking after us so well, to Ken,for his driving and wildlife spotting and to everybody else on the trip for making it fun.
Although it was cold in the mornings,as it was end of season, the weather was very good. Both times it rained we were on the coach, returning from the day's outing. We were lucky both at Little Big Horn and Yellowstone, where the forecasts were not promising, but,we were not restricted visiting both places.
Even seeing videos or photos of the various Parks does not prepare you for the scale, and beauty,of Arches,Bryce,Zion and Grand Canyons,Monument Valley and the Badlands,in their different ways. Yellowstone is spectacular for its diversity, wildlife, scenery, and geysers, when we saw Old Faithful,it erupted to 175 feet, the highest for 3 years.Driving through the Park,we saw large numbers of bison, deer and elk. From a distance,a grizzlie, and a bit closer,a bald eagle. In other Parks,we saw chipmunks, prairie dogs, and ground squirrels and small birds.
The highlights for me were the drive through Monument Valley, the flight over Grand Canyon, and the contrast of the Badlands.A bonus was to see the Mormon Tabernacle Choir practice in Salt Lake City.
