Can you tell me please whether I need to book the optional Abu Simbel trip before I leave on 2.11.10 or whether this can be done once I arrive in Egypt? I wouldn't want to miss out on such an experience.

I have been told by a friend that most cruise ships prefer us to use sterling whilst on board rather than Egyptian pounds. Can you please confirm whether this is so? Many thanks.

I'm still waiting to hear back from our Egyptian agents about the right currency to use on board. Personally I would use local currency - when you use pounds or dollars, the price is generally rounded up.

I've just heard that you can also use sterling, dollars or euros on board.
