I have not long been home from my first JY adventure, to Vietnam & Cambodia, and I now feel compelled to let everyone know what an amazing experience it was, probably like most people who chose a singles holiday, I was nervous and apprehensive , but all that soon changed when I met up with everyone at a Heathrow, I soon felt relaxed, Vietnam is an amazing country to visit, and Lynne the tour manager, made sure we all saw and did as much as we possible could during our stay, every day was packed with new sights to see, from temples and museums, to religious sights, and Vietcong underground tunnels, Lynne even arranged a visit to a citadel where Buddhist nuns made our lunch, how many holidays can you do that ??.
Every thing was so well organised , the hotels were all of an excellent high standard, I particularly enjoyed the food everywhere we went, as a non sea food eater, Lynne made sure that I had alternative meals every day, we even did a cookery lesson at a local restaurant , where we were shown how to prepare and cook a typical Vietnamese meal, such a great laugh , and the food was good too,,,,,,
We then went onto Cambodia and the activities continued, lots to see and do, again the food and standard of hotels, was excellent, If I had to make a criticism , it would be that the whole holiday should be a few days longer and allow more free time , we were staying in some lovely hotels, but because there was so much to see and do, the days could be tiring, and it would have been nice to have had some more free time.
I could write here for days, telling how fantastic the holiday, but the best advice I could give anyone is.
Don't just look at it, BOOK IT !!!. You will not regret it, I don't, and I,m now looking at where my next JY holiday will take me.
I,m happy to answer any questions anyone may have on this trip.
