Hi

I did this trip in September 2013. The weather was warm and sunny in both New England and Canada during the day and cool in the evenings. You will not need sweaters or heavy coat. A lightweight fleece will be fine.

I always go for layers so they can be on or off, NO thick coats, I have a anorak type jacket that has a Cleese that can go inside, so a three in one, a fleece or very light weight jacket or put them together for a warm jacket, if we were out and out all day, I left the fleece on the coach and just had a vest top and light blouse, then if we got off the coach depending for how long fleece or jacket went with me..

I did the add on for New York so spent a fair bit of time doing my own thing most of the time I just had very light jacket..

It's a great tour you see and do so much have fun.

I did the tour last autumn. In early October we had very mixed weather, with some wet days. Layers, a good waterproof and comfy shoes should see you through. It's a great tour with lots to see. The foliage was amazing, Niagara Falls spectacular, (do the helicopter ride if you get the chance), then New York as a finale

I have been on the Canada and USA tour last September most hotels have a safe in the room so use that just remember to clear it out when you leave , they are very easy to use, normally with a 4 digit keypad number...great tour any questions just ask.

Thanks for that, what was the weather like, do I need Jumpers and thick coats or layers?

Hi flanshawf1,

Problems of pick-pocketing of handbags and passports can be common in Canada especially in the major cities, as in any major tourist destination. We would warn you always to be careful of your personal belongings and not to carry your passports/extra cash/credit cards etc unless necessary. These should be left in a hotel safe where possible.

You should be particularly careful of handbags and wallets - where you need to carry money and documents it is advisable to use a money belt under your clothes rather than an exposed one.

I hope this helps.

Kindest Regards,

Monty

I 've not been on a tour like this before and was wondering the best way to keep your money safe as we won't be staying long enough in one hotel to have safe deposit box. Is a money belt the answer.
