Hi Jan & Keith,

I'm sure JY will extend the holiday by a day.

Talking Jazz, thinking of eating at a Jazz Club 3rd night in Chicago for those interested (while listening to the music), then on to a piano bar or something similar. Should make for a good last night in the City.

So it would be Blues Mon (as posted earlier), then ts Blues again tues (included Kingston Mines excurrsion) an Jazz on Wednesday followed by a few cocktails in the piano bar to say goodbye to the City.

Of course al plans can be switched around to suit, depends who is playing.

Got a another excellent Blues bar planned for one of the nights in St Louis (prob 2nd night).

Going to be a cracking trip.

Mick

Hi Keith/Jan

I'm on this holiday and would be interested in coming along to the ice hockey if that were possible.

Maybe we can make contact again once it becomes clear what tickets are available.

I'm staying at the Park Inn the night before, so will meet you either there or at Heathrow.

Best Wishes

Stuart

Prefer seats up near the top if a small rink and the middle so I can watch both ends.

Hello Mick and Keith,

Did look online for tickets via Ticketmaster which my daughter used when she bought ice hockey tickets last season. The website is telling me that I can buy season, half season and 12 games only tickets not just one game. Hope this is not the case?

Jan

Hi Jan

Most teams do not put individual tickets on sale until September, after all their season ticket holders either renew or take out the various multi game packages. Most US teams do not sell out.

If you look at NHL.com there is a link to each team's website, which says when the individual tickets go on sale. It is always best to check the team's site as,like in Chicago's case, they changed the day of the game.

Strangely, the top price tickets are the closest to the ice, where I find it difficult to see the whole game.

Hello Keith,

I would love to go to an ice hockey game and do hope that tickets are available. Last time I was in Toronto, the NHL had a strike 😞 Usually follow the Maple Leafs and over here Coventry Blaze.

Hi Jan

The Blues face off at 7p.m. so it may be a little tight, although Americans quite often arrive during the first or second period. The arena is only a few minutes away on the Metro, the box office may be at the other end of the building.I will be checking again in September when the tickets usually go on sale, about price and availability.

Unfortunately,Chicago are not at home while we are there, but, the Wolves, the AHL team may be,they have still to announce their schedule.

Keith

Keith,

A few years back managed to see the Blackhawks when in Chicago think it was against Vancouver, was good fun.

Another visit tried to get tickets but was a sell out.

Mick

When the schedule was originally announced,Chicago did have a game on the Monday, but, that has been moved to the Sunday. It's unlikely St.Louis would be a sellout, but, they are playing New Jersey, who they only play at home once a season,so there may be more interest locally, than against a team that they play more often.
