Hi Bob

Yes I totaly agree with you I had my first JY holiday to Kenya in June and now planning my 2nd holiday to Thailand next Sept,

I found that for the Kenya holiday there was 2 optional excursions on the broucher and website but the final pack 21 days before the date we found that there was about 7 or 8 extra excursions which we then had to plan and account for.

I tryed to do as many as I could as it was an amazing holiday but a bit extra notice would of been better so I could plan and save up for ect.

Now that I know there is extra trip but they cant put them all on the broucher for space I emailed Ben and he sent a List all all the trips which was great so you can get a final amount price in your head, but they should send the infomation pack on the first confirmation pack rather at the end so they can get more people interested and book more trips = more money for them lol

hope this helps Ben talk to someone and see what they can do for the future

Sounds good to me...I must admit I was so excited with all the optional little plane flights and helicopters while in NZ but due to bad weather I only got 1 helo flight in, so came back with money but I would rather of done the flights.

Also extra things can some times be down to your JY Tour Manager as if they have done the tour many times before then they get to gain more local knowledge on some very good things. Or if they have done their homework.

So the holiday's can end up being much more than what is just in the advertising passage which I think is a bonus for all us that travel.

Hi Ben, JY Will and all involved at JY,

I have a new suggestion for you! This is something I've thought about numerous times over the last few years and it's somewhere I think JY sell themselves short. For me, often the best part of the holiday has been the optional excursions, some of which I only learnt about when I got my 12 week mailing package. For example, on the Victoria Falls add-on to the S Africa tour, there is just a generalised paragraph in the brochure/website mentioning some of the things that it is possible to do while there. It doesn't mention the day trip to Botswana visiting Chobe National Park, the elephant safari, microlite or helicopter flight over the Falls, the Royal Livingstone Express dinner etc. These excursions are what made the holiday so special for me and I think if they were mentioned in the description it might encourage others to book a particular holiday. I understand that sometimes it might not be possible to run all the optionals depending on various circumstances, but you could phrase it like "typical of the excursions on offer would be...however, not all might be available on all dates" or something similar. I've booked the Cambodia add-on to the Vietnam tour for next Feb and once again, there is just a generalised description (which sounds wonderful!) but I'm waiting with bated breath for the itinerary to find out exactly what's on offer!

Hope this is helpful, what do you think?

Cheers,

Bob
