Mosquitos are a bigger problem in the peak summer months but you might find there are some around. So I'd say it's a good idea to go prepared if you have a history of being bitten.

I have had an adverse reaction to mosquito bites in the past. Is this likely to be a problem on this tour of Italian Cities in May. If so, I will take lots and lots of insect repellant.
