Hello SusanThanks for your questions - hope you find this information useful:CurrencyFor your information, the national currency in China is the Renminbi Yuan (RMBY). I would recommend you take sterling cash and travellers cheque - you will possibly get a better exchange rate if you take sterling as you won't have to change your currency twice. Major credit cards are also accepted, but please do check with your card issuer first. Insect RepellantI would advise to take a strong insect repellant with you as it can get humid on the river.FlightsThe flight is approximately 9.5 hours from Heathrow to China. Most of our holidays to China do not stop over on the outbound journey.Hope you have a great time - would love to see a message on Your Community about your experience when you get back.Kind RegardsCheryl, your editor
I went on my first singles' holiday to Egypt and had the best holiday of my life. I am hoping that China and the Xian add-on will be as good. I've had my jabs but now wonder if I should change my Euro travellers' cheques for Sterling or will Euros be OK. I also wonder if anyone has any tips about anti-insect stuff for China as I hear the bugs are bad on the Yangtse but the doc says not to take malaria medicine. How long is the flight from Heathrow and do we change anywhere? Really looking forward to this.
