China's voltage is 220v, so your hair straighteners will work fine. I'd also recommend a universal adaptor if you don't have one, as sockets can vary around China.

Olly, do you know if I would be able to use uk electrical items such as hair straighteners etc whilst in China. I have an adapter but not sure if the voltage is ok for everything to work properly. If you don't know, could you advise where I may find out? Thanks, Bernie
