It was a surprise to win the August competition. I am not a good photographer - just look and press the button and hope for the best. I was beginning to think that Mike will not let anyone else win by submitting lovely shots! Well done to all the winners and runner-ups.

I have a similar picture of Monument Valley taken when I went with TS in 2012. The big difference is my picture is all shades of orange as we were there in a sand storm. I remember Tim Boaler our TM saying he had never been there in a sandstorm before. We thought the sightseeing would be cancelled but the Navajo guides said if we were up for it they were happy to take us. Never, ever will I forget that (unless i get dementia in  my old age lol)
