We may look to add one or two new holidays of this type, but the response wasn't particularly effusive this time around.

Reading all the previous comments- went on the Steam trains through the Highlands of Scotland last October and before that multiple trains and various forms of transport through Alpine Europe. Loved both trips. I like the idea of Darjeeling coupled with Nilgiri and Shimla railways. Saw it once on a TV program- thought how wonderful it was- on my bucket list.

Yes I am a girl, trains run through my blood- fond memories of watching my Dad firing Black 5s through Warmley Towers, Bristol back in the 60s.

Hi all,

we were talking in the office yesterday about Rail holidays and thought it would be good to get your views.

We have a couple of UK based rail holidays which have proven popular - is this something people would be interested in seeing more of?

We also do a few European holidays by Eurostar - would you like to see us do more of these holidays?

Definitely interested in Rail holidays, mainly Europe, but open to any trips you may offer.

Speaking of rail holidays - is there any chance that JY will reintroduce the Rocky Mountaineer leg of the Canadian Rockies/Vancouver tour? I did it in 2011 but it hasn't been in the brochure since. I know it makes the trip a little more expensive but it is sooo worth it. The two days spent on the train were the absolute highlight of a truly fabulous trip and I'd love to do it again someday.

Thinking of rail trips closer to home - have you ever considered linking up with the company who run the British Pullman of the Orient Express and building one of their day trips into some of your UK tours/weekends? It would give people who don't like long haul travel the chance to experience something similar to Swiss and Canadian luxury rail travel.
