Hi Lynne,

Terrain: dirt roads, some tarmac, countryside, mainly flat

Day 3

Walk: 11.7km/7.2mi; ASCENT/DESCENT: 100m/-60 m; can opt out at 7.3km

Terrain: dirt roads, some tarmac, boardwalks, great cliff top views, mainly flat.

Day 4

Walk: 13.37km/8.3mi; ASCENT/DESCENT: +/-192m; can opt out at 8km

Terrain: dirt roads, some tarmac, country side

Day 5 (Christmas day)

Walk: 16km/10mi; ASCENT/DESCENT: +/-87m; opt out available at 3.5km

Terrain: dirt roads, some tarmac, boardwalks, great cliff top views, mainly flat.

Day 6 (Boxing day)

Walk: 7km/4.4mi; ASCENT/DESCENT: +45/-28m; opt out 5km into the walk

Terrain: dirt roads, some tarmac, boardwalks, great cliff top views, mainly flat

The walk is mainly flat, inland, quite easy and not accessible by cars. The bus will be at Forte do Beliche (app 5km into the walk) and if customers don't want to walk anymore, the bus will bring them to the end of the walk (Cabo de S. Vicente) where they wait for the rest of group

In regards of walking gear, I would say walking boots are essential rather than just trainers, and clothes suitable for walking in-  depending on personal preference, layers etc also would be good and a backpack to carry anything you may want during the walk.

Many thanks,

Vickie

These details sdhould be available in the brochure - would help people to decide if the holiday is suitable for them or not?

Hi

Any tips on what sort of walking gear is required on the 'Walking in The Algarve' holiday over Christmas please? And what sort of terrain the walks will be?

Thanks
