I’m on the June trip as well, Looking forward to seeing plenty of wildlife

I hadn’t considered a porter but a only $20 it seems worthwhile so I can have my camera at the ready

I do the Borneo trip in 2016 it’s really good, one tip is take a multi plug extension lead to be able to get everything charged as I think at one lodge there were limited power sockets and it saves taking loads of travel adaptors

Thanks for the tip on the plug, I nearly bought one in Boots yesterday but seemed a bit pricey, I'll have a look on Amazon. So looking forward to Borneo.

Can I ask where you are flying from in June?. Just hoping I'm not the only one flying from Manchester, think I might change my booking to Heathrow if I am!.

I'm flying from Heathrow, but looks like everyone is on the same flight from Dubai.

I see from the website that both June and September are both sold out already, so a good thing we got in early

I am in Borneo at the moment waiting to go to the airport to fly to Singapore via Kuala Lumpur. Temp about 30 degrees . We did see loads of macaques ,some orangutans but no pigmy elephants.

  The steam train at KK ran out of steam twice going uphill and again when trying to reverse to the previous station.Had to be rescued by a diesel .

I've seen a lot of reviews on various web sites about the reliability of the steam train, may be its time to retire it!

Hello fellow Gorilla trekkers!

Apparently I am the 5th person to book, I couldn't resist! 

I will be flying from Manchester but I think others so far are flying from Heathrow.

I was told by Victoria at Just You to wear Khaki or similar in the jungle and gloves to protect from mosquitoes.

Porters will be on hand and we pay them direct. Yellow fever inoculations required.

Any useful information over the coming months from my fellow companions would be most appreciated.

 I have Borneo to look forward to next month, as others have said Just You is certainly addictive!

Looks like I can look forward to another jab in the arm in the new year ...

I think you’re quite right about having a porter Mo. I just hope they know where to push when it comes to it and their ‘encouragement stick’ isn’t too pointed ...

Groups of 8 sounds good. The only thing is, if the local silverback gets a bit miffed, we might have to sacrifice you Mo ...

I suspect your Borneo trip might prove a good indicator as to what to expect in June. Enjoy.
