I stayed here in May and my room was fine, overlooked the lake and had a balcony, and high enough up, floor 6, not to get much road noise, although it is quiet at night.  Apart from the fact that the a/c had not been switched - too early - the ceiling fan worked OK once you fathomed out which switch it was.  If you get the chance, do have lunch at the Lido just across the road, it is part of the holiday, and the food and whole experience in the Lido is just great.

Good morning.

I am looking forward to travelling to Lake Como soon. This will be my third JustYou holiday, all in Italy, and I had a wonderful time on both occasions.  However, on both previous holidays, I was disappointed with the standard of the room I was allocated at the hotel. After some negotiation with reception, I was upgraded (at a cost).

Some of the reviews of the Britannia Hotel in Como are poor - particularly the rooms, so I am anticipating that I'll have the same issue. Would you advise that I contact the hotel directly, in advance, to check on what's available?
