I’m still uncertain whether to go later this year or leave it until next year when all work should be finished.

I think the work is being done in stages, do you happen to know if the front of the building has been finished yet. I’m quite a keen photographer and really want to get that iconic shot of the Taj Mahal at sunrise but knowing my luck it will be misty on the day I visit!!

Could be quite a surreal shot though!

Vital restoration work is being carried out on the Taj Mahal from now until November 2018. During this time you will still visit this iconic landmark, and also the Mehtab Bagh gardens complex, which is close by and offers further views of the Taj Mahal.

I understand renovation work on the Taj Mahal is ongoing and planned  to finish sometime this year. I am considering a trip to India and for me the Taj Mahal would be the main highlight therefore I would like to ask any forum members who have been recently how obtrusive the renovation work actually is ?

Also does anyone know when the work will actually be finished?
