Thanks for asking the question Mike - something I've been meaning to do for a while so that I can book parking.  For those on this trip like me who need entertainment no matter how short the flight - Latam do a free app for IOS and Android which enables you to stream movies / tv shows to your device on the shorter flights where they do not have individual screens.  By my reckoning we have five short internal flights (not including EI).

Thanks Sally,

Great tip re the app.  Looks like it will definitely be needed.  I go in October so I will you all know about the flights.

Best wishes Julie

Hi Sally,

Hope you are well. I've counted (including my flights up and down to Heathrow and Easter Island) - 13 flights!!

This is certainly the most flights I have ever done on a JY holiday - or any holiday for that matter!

Looking forward to it though!

Cheers,

Hils

Hi Sally and Mike

That's a good tip about streaming movies (not that a technophobe like me could work out how to do it....)

Even on Latam flights that have individual screens, they don't have a very extensive selection of choices in English. (It was either one episode of the Big Bang Theory for five hours or read my book!)

All the best

Mandy

Hi Sally

many thanks for the info it'll be nice to meet you though not doing EI, shan't bother with the app for short internal flights, I do have my ipod for music and my tablet which has a few videos on it, gosh hadn't realised there were so many internal flights, Chile much bigger than I realised, I bet come the end of our tour i'll be wishing i'd booked EI also, was just as well Mike took these steps to check on the flight timings as could easily have wasted travel costs or cut it fine on arriving at LHR, I agree that JY should inform their customers of any changes in flights etc at the very earliest as the most loyalist of customers do come from far and wide at much extra expense to those who live locally

all the best

Dave

Hello Mildred,

Many thanks for confirming the departure terminal and current flight times. Whilst I realise that this information will be confirmed in my final documents, I don't want to wait until a couple of weeks before departure before making plans for my travel to Heathrow.

Surprising as it may seem, not all of JY's customers live within the vicinity of Heathrow airport, and consequently many of us have to firm up travel plans, and sometimes hotel accommodation, well in advance. On that basis, and speaking solely for myself, I make those arrangements in the full knowledge that the flight schedule is provisional, and accept that I may have to change things if there are significant alterations to the original flight timings.

In this particular case, I happen to know that JY were in possession of these new timings several months ago. Consequently, I have to ask, when both the outbound and inbound flight timings have been altered by a full 2hrs, why a revised flight plan was not sent out to all passengers? JY could still have emphasised that the information was only provisional, but at least customers would have the latest information as known at the time. It's then up to those people who need to make travel arrangements, to decide if they want to act on that information, or wait until final documents are issued.

Mike

Good Afternoon Mike,

Apologies for the delayed response.

Yes, it departs for Terminal 3.

OUTBOUND – 13 NOV LHR 20:10 GRU 05:55+1 (LAND 14TH NOV)

INBOUND – 1 DEC GRU 23:40 LHR 13:15+1 (LAND 2ND DEC)

Passengers will all received final information with all the relevant correct timings on them. You are correct- so flight numbers are JJ but some are also LA. This will show up correct in your final information.

I hope this helps.

Kind Regards,

Mildred

Hello Mildred,

I'm trying to arrange my transport to Heathrow airport for the above holiday departing 13th November 2017 and have a couple of questions.

Firstly, I'm 99% certain that this flight departs from Terminal 3, but would appreciate it if you can confirm that.

Secondly, can you confirm the current departure time of the outbound flight, and the arrival time of the inbound flight on 2nd December please? I do realise that this information is only provisional at this stage, but it still helps me to firm up my travel plans.

Finally, being as the flight schedule shown in the holiday documents issued to date does not include the departure terminal, and all flights quoted are with LAN Airlines (who don't exist as such, since their merger with TAM to form LATAM Airlines), can you issue a new flight schedule with the correct information please?

This is particularly important because LATAM flight numbers use the prefix JJ and not LA as shown on the current documents. Consequently, after making some enquiries I believe that the outbound flight number should read JJ8085, and not LA8531 as your paperwork shows at present. This in turn gives rise to more confusion because when I enter the LHR website, LA8531 (not surprisingly) isn't recognised as a flight number, and secondly when I enter my departure date and flight no JJ8085 it shows a scheduled departure time of 20.10hrs...not 22.10hrs as shown on JY's current flight schedule. Hence my second question above...

I would appreciate a swift resolution to this so that I can make the necessary travel arrangements with some level of confidence.

Many thanks

Mike
