Hi Mildred,

Many thanks for this info which I found very helpful - I'm hoping to do this tour in a couple of years and will have to get my own visa so this guidance will be essential to me when the time comes.

Best wishes,

Bob

Good Morning SandraG,

The earliest you will be able to apply for visa will be the 23rd of July.

Since you are applying for your own China visa, you will need a copy of the itinerary to support your China visa application which we will send you if you call us near the time.

Please know that when you are applying for your China visa you must not say you are going to Tibet or they will not give you a visa- they will tell you that you have to get a Tibet visa first which you cannot do in the UK.

The hotels and dates from the itinerary we send you will need to be used when you complete the China visa application form and they will not show Tibet flights or hotels.

Once you have your China visa we will need a copy of the visa and a copy of your passport which we have to send to our agents in China to obtain the Tibet group visa. We have to apply for this no later than 30 days before the start of the tour.

If you would like us to get the China visa for you please phone our service centre who will be able to add the charge to your booking.

You will be without your passport for up to a month.

I hope this helps you.

Kind Regards,

Mildred

Hi, I've booked roof of the world for October 2017 and hadn't considered visas until I read another thread. Can you please tell me, what's the earliest I can apply for these and how long would I be without my passport as I'm also away part of July, August and september! Thank you
