My travel insurance runs out next April so I am okay. Just have to get ESTA - I personally think it is silly as we are only transiting through Houston and not leaving the airport!
Peter, I am sure it will not be hot and humid everywhere we go. I experienced humidity in Borneo and it was bearable. Now I already know 2 people I have met on previous trips. We must all promise that we are not going to stick together, but mingle with everyone else on the trip!
See you both in March.
Regards
Jaya

Jaya ,sorry to hear you have had a dose of flu. I still have a little cough but it is not a problem.
I have just booked for the Nicaragua/Costa Rica trip for March 8th next year having re-read the reviews. The only reservation I have is the hot and humid comment as I have not experienced this before. There are 16 of us (3 male) at present.
Now I have to renew my travel insurance and obtain a new ESTA as we travel vis Houston,
Looking forward to seeing you
Peter
I too have booked the Costa Rica / Nicaragua trip for March next year. Hopefully you too will join us. Hope you have fully recovered by now. Unfortunately I have ended up with a nasty dose of flu - I think I am allergic to this country!
i'm on this trip in March, it sounds a wonderful trip, yes I believe march is the best time to go if not for your turtles but can't have everything, hope you can join us, another community member who is doing this tour has also recently returned from SA/Zambia, maybe you were on the same trip so can compare notes
I did the Costa Rica/Nicaragua tour in March 2014 and had a great time - we saw so much wildlife in Tortuguero, it was fantastic! It was the dry season and I think it was a very good time to go - we visited the turtle hatchery and although out of season, we still learned about them. However, I would suggest that (if you can stretch to it, time-wise and budget-wise) to look at the new Adventure through Central America tour which has dates later next year. The itinerary sounds absolutely incredible - I have done parts of it (Nicaragua and Tikal in Guatemala - the places visited in Costa Rica are different to those I visited) and it should be an amazing experience. Unfortunately I wouldn't be able to do it until 2019 (fingers crossed it runs then!) but I would think it would be a trip of a lifetime. Here's the link to it:

If there are any questions you have about the CR/N tour, feel free to ask!
All the best,
Bob
I am glad to hear that you had a fantastic holiday!
For the holiday in March, there are currently 15 travellerers already booked on this holiday.
Kind Regards,
Mildred
Anyone one else going? I see there is another similar trip which visits several countries in Central America but it is not listed online with 2017 dates.
Sadly not all of our travellers us the community, but I can tell you that there are 16 travellers definitely heading to Costa Rica & Nicaragua and an additional 2 travellers provisionally booked.
Kindest regards,
Julia
