I can assure you that Just You is far from being phased out - I think there would be too much uproar from our customers to do such a thing!

Perhaps JY/Travelsphere are slowly doing away with their singles, maybe this is behind their current/future planning

Interesting thought! And there is the Kenyan safari holiday with shared accommodation and single supplements, which belongs in the TS brochure . . .

If singles were phased out, there would be no need for two companies . . .

I am completely sure that is not the case - as JY's business has grown substantially over the last few years!  Whatever the reason I am positive that's not it.  Hopefully there will be a statement from Julia or someone else shortly to explain/resolve matters.

Sorry to hear that you were given erroneous information regarding numbers.

I had always been  a JY addict but with all this going on regarding sharing passenger information I may look elsewhere for more tours. In fact, there is a good large company for over 50's that do special departures for solo passengers and on other tours do low single room supplements.

I think more and more companies are realizing that much of the travel market is taken up by solo travellers and are capitalizing on it. JY needs to be careful or else they could lose out a lot.

Hope your cats are OK and that you are enjoying retirement
