Hi I suggest you don't get any before you go and check with your tour manager when you get there.  I am sure that a lot of the group won't have any Swiss Francs and if they are needed, the TM can facilitate you stopping off at an ATM.

All the best,

Bob

Hello, Chelsea Girl.

I visited Switzerland a year or two back as part of the Heart of Alpine Europe holiday and took some Swiss Francs with me. Near the borders some shops and cafes will accept Euros but you will get any change in Francs.

I'm going on the Lake Como Holiday in September this year and have also booked the St Moritz and Bernina Express rail journey into Switzerland (for the day).

Do you think it is worthwhile getting some Swiss Francs for this excursion?  I'm not sure whether Euros would be welcome as currency!

Thank you.
