I understand where you are coming from, but personally I think it is not possible to list every little thing that can affect mobility issues. If I wanted to find out the exact details of each place and excursion concerning mobility issues, then I would either call customer services or do my own research instead of expecting to find all details on the website or brochure.

I understand what you are saying Elisa, and know that Motovun and Plitvice are quite difficult walking, (I struggled in Plitvice in the 1980's 🙂 ), but I do feel when it is mentioned on the forum that places like Calabria and Apulia have steep slopes,, lots of steps and uneven walking surfaces that they should be treated in the same way, and this should be mentioned both on the website and in the brochure.  My apologies for highlighting those two trips, but I know a few people on here have mentioned in their reviews about the quite difficult walking at times. 

I walk with the aid of a stick, (after 2 bad falls in the space of a year),  am usually fine on flat surfaces and cobbles, but coming down steps is sometimes difficult for me.  To use an example when I went on the Dubrovnik trip in May I knew it would be useless me going to Mostar ( although I wanted to very much), because of the slippery surface on the bridge. Things like this need to be on the website. 

Whenever I see anything I fancy holiday wise on the website, I always do lots of research to see if I will be able to manage walking wise.  It would help to have more information even if it is just a general pointer.

The walking statement has been added because we must monitor customer expectations as much as we can.

While some customers may have a slight mobility issue, others have more serious conditions which means they can walk short distances as well as on uneven grounds.

Hi Julia. 

Roger's lovely review has reminded me to ask something that is puzzling me.  As you know I went on this holiday last September again, and despite my slight mobility issues did not find it anymore difficult to get around than on other holidays I have been on with JY.  The hotel is very good and has lifts straight down to the restaurant (unlike the one in Dubrovnik), and the town is fine for getting around.

So why this year has this been put up on the website?

Is it because Plitvice is now in the included excursions?

I know I have posted on this issue before, and have mentioned about the Calabria and Apulia holidays still only being down as "a certain amount of walking is necessary", when from past reviews steps in the hotel and steep slopes and difficult walking surfaces are mentioned. 

Why has Istrian Coast been singled out?
