I have spoken to the guys in overseas services, they have confirmed that the OPTIONAL Bush BBQ will be on day 6, which is the 16th November. I hope this helps and you can now arrange to see your friend.

we did this tour exactly 2 years ago and the bush bbq was on the first of the two nights, the second night a few of us went into town for a meal at Bojangles whilst some dined at the resort, on day 2 of AS we had the very early optional balloon ride followed by the included tour then the optional western McDonnell ranges which returned to the hotel about 5
