Buggy rides are in two prices can't remember actual the timing but say ones 20 mins and ones 40 mins, also that price will be for the whole buggy which I think can take 4 people so that would be the price and then you split it between how many of you there are, I think 3 people went in the buggy when I did it so it was the price and then we split it between us...
It's not $80 each, unless you want to go on your own!

Watch this space. A few colleagues are telling me to go for it as well. We shall see.
Soon as I get back I'll post a message on here

Hi CindyI used to have a fear of flying but the more I travel the less of a fear I have. I still have a fear of heights which is why the helecopter ride scares me. Although when I did Route 66 with JY I went up the John Hancock Tower in Chicago and also the St. Louis Arch. My feelings was then that I may never be back there and I would regret not doing them. The same may be for the helecopter ride as we can't book that till we are there so I may still do it. You only live once as they say. When I went on Route 66 I went on every excursion and loved them and I'm also booked on the optional excursions on this tour. There are 2 helecopter excursions on this tour and I may end up doing one of them. I shall let you know when I get back if I plucked up enough courage. Paul

I really hope you GO FOR IT!!! I look forward to hearing if you did or did not do it on your return
I'll have a look at that site you mentioned. It may give me more ideas what to do and also if you can per book you may save a few pounds. As for the day trip to Washington with so much to do in New York in just 2 days I doubt I will be going anywhere for a day trip. I'm finding that the 2 extra days we are in New York are not enough. I think I need a full week there.
Hi MeaI'm looking into a few things to do in New York whilst we are on our own. 911 memorial is top of the list. I may pre book that before we leave. I'm still undecided on what else I'll be doing so I'm open to suggestions from others. Im happy to visit places with yourself and maybe the others who are doing the add on. Safety in numbers as they say. I'll be flying down from manchester that day so I won't see anyone at the check in desk. So I'll probably see you and the others at the gate. If you want to pre arrange our trips on the New York add on I'm happy for JY to give you my email so we can arrange things before we travel. ThanksPaul

Hi Paul,
I am doing the 2 October New England & Canada in the Fall with NY trip. I have just started looking at possible things to do when in New York. I have come across a website called Viator, and one of the trips you can prebook on there, is a one-day trip to Washington DC. Think I may do this the last full day I am in New York.
Enjoy your hols.
John.
I think the hotel is the same as the one that you stayed in. It's the Doubletree by Hilton and its location is great. As you say the 911 memorial and battery park are close by. Brooklyn Bridge is also a short walk away. Looking at google maps there are plenty of places to eat close by too. A subway station is also near. So many options to chose which is great.
I'm still working on my list of things to do in New York and I'm sure whatever i chose I shall have a great time.
Can I just say when I started using JY for my many tours I have done with them a I was very scared of flying I am still not a great lover of flying but it is a means to an end. Having been to Oz and NZ those flights are mega long. I was extremely nervous about doing a helicopter flight my first was in NY, I would really recommend you having a go, I have since been on many more Australia and New Zealand, and even a hot air balloon flight in OZ.
each time I go on a big holiday I try and push my self out of the comfort zone, it's a great thing to do.
So please think about it.
