Hi Susannetball,
How much money to take is a very personal thing. Some travellers will take enough to cover meals, excursions, souvenirs and even emergencies - others will take as little as possible.
Meals - a rough guide is to plan as if you were in the UK as the prices are quite similar. All your breaksfasts are included in the price along with a lunch and a dinner.
Excursions - there are three excursions that I have as bookable in Canada these are; the Rockies Helicopter flight (approx £77), the Banff Gondola (approx £25) and the Athabasca Glacier (approx £34)
One thing to note is that while recommend that you take some local currency with you. Major credit cards are widely accepted. Use of debit cards is widespread, although many stores impose a $5 to $20 minimum per debit card purchase, and service charges may apply. Just remember to inform your card issuer before travelling as some banks occasionally stop withdrawals in the event that they are being used fraudulently abroad.
In terms of the numbers booked, there are currently 9 travellers booked on this date.
Kindest regards,
Julia
