So pleased my thread got lots of new possible destinations questions asked and answered about so no worries Bob about hijacking my thread and Mick I was hoping to go next year but won't go on a couples holiday so will have to wait for 2016. I also would love to see more of Turkey but wouldn't want to see the same things as already seen on the recent tour I went on and would definitely fly with turkish airlines again they were excellent.

Do you think this means I might be seeing a NEW safari type holiday, more safari less tourist based? For 2016.

I really can't fit in a big JY one for 2015, due to family holidays Ma in Laws 80th and younger son partner and child, I think the family have been good to me since 2006 so THIS year I will put them first for once! ..

Hi Cindy

I think it means that the team are reviewing a "couple of possibilities" and safari is one that is being "considered"!

Sounds like you have a very busy 2015 on the cards, and you didn't even mention that you're on the Battlefields of France & Flanders tour too. I'm not surprised you can't fit in a big JY holiday but do hope you have a wonderful year!

Kindest regards,

Julia

LOL I hadn't forgotten about the battlefields, it's just does seem strange not having a biggy to do, I am not complaining I have been so lucky the last few years, oooooooooooooooooo let's hope the safari will be my kinda tour!!! Bring it on I say...

I am like Bob and some others I book so far in advance sometimes a year!!!...

I to have a busy diary these days with the little ones...so here's hoping...

You have a great weekend,

Cindy

I too would like to see Cappadocia so if a longer Turkey tour is offered then I may go again to Turkey. I very much enjoyed Istanbul, Troy and Ephesus. South Africa is still on my radar and hopefully I can go there in 2016 unless something more attractive is on offer then.

Regards

Jaya

Hi Julia,

Last post from me until next week, I promise! For what it's worth (and I probably sound like a broken record) my dream Africa destinations would be Tanzania (Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Zanzibar), Ethiopia (Simien mountains) and Uganda (if an easy-ish route can be found for gorilla and chimp trekking and other scenic spots). However, I have to say I am very, very happy that JY have put on Namibia for next year, a dream destination of mine for a long time and I can't wait until next May!!

Best wishes,

Bob

I thought the Romania trip sounded great so I went ahead and booked with Travelsphere. But I hope I am not going to be the only "single" on there :)

Hi Lindsay,

When you get closer to departure, give me a nudge and I can give you the same information I give Just You travellers- including how many travellers are booked as travelling solo.

Kindest regards,

Julia

Hi Julia,

Many thanks and that is all very good news, I am delighted! This has got my mind working in all sorts of different and exciting directions now!

Best wishes,

Bob

Hi Julia,

I've my holidays pretty much sorted for next year and am already looking towards 2016! The TS Romania tour is one that has caught my eye and I do hope that JY are able to offer it in a couple of years as the itinerary sounds wonderful!

While I'm on the subject, are there any plans for JY to offer a longer tour to Morocco rather than just the Marrakech city break? Or to reinstate the longer Turkey tour that you used to run? I'd really like to see Cappadocia! Is JY working on bringing back a Tanzania holiday or any other Africa destinations? I seem to remember you saying something about JY hoping to introduce more holidays in Africa a while back. Finally, I do hope the Dubai city break is a success, as it's one I'd like to do a couple of years down the road - how are bookings going for it so far? As you know, I have to book my holidays early to block off the time for work, but most other people seem to be booking later and later!

Apologies to Gail for hijacking this thread!

Best wishes,

Bob

Hi Bob,

So after a bit of digging (or rather a quick email to the holiday creators) I can tell you that....

At the moment there are no plans to offer a longer tour to Morocco - North Africa isn't a hugely popular destination at the moment and obviously we want to be able to offer holidays that will attract minimum operational numbers so that our travellers aren't left disappointed.

You sparked a bit of interest about the longer Turkey tour. When you sent your message yesterday it wasn't being considered but the team are now looking in to it.

Tanzania and other African destinations - the response was a big fat YES! Southern Africa is very much on the radar of the team and they are looking at what we can offer in the future.

Dubai, is proving popular so far so continue to keep your eye on the brochure/website for future departures.

Hopefully the above is, in the most part, what you were hoping to hear!

Kindest regards,

Julia
