Thank you Julia. Your colleague has called, and answered all my questions.
Not a problem at all! I have forwarded your contact details on to one of my colleagues, and they will be in touch with you directly.

Kindest regards,

Julia

Thank you for your patience Julia. I am on the verge of booking this holiday. I spoke to a very helpful advisor this morning about upgrading my flights to business She wasn't able to answer a couple of queries. When I started traveling with JY, I was able to speak direct to your travel staff about upgrades, and choose my seat at the time of booking. It appears this is no longer possible. After a fiasco with the BA upgrade on my recent holiday , I am not willing to book a holiday unless all the conditions are right for me. Could you possibly arrange for a member of the travel department to contact me please.
Hi Sarah,

I understand that there will be a mixture of meals in the hotel and in local restaurants.

Kindest regards,

Julia

Thank you so much for your trouble. I really loved the Inspirational China trip I did last year, and this tour offers a chance to see more of China and to see Tibet. Can I ask a one more question please: are evening meals normally taken in the hotels on this tour, or as on the Inspirational China tour in local restaurants?
Hi SarahS,

Sorry for the delay, I've had to go to a number of different departments to get all of the answers and the team also contacted our team overseas to clarify a few bits too!

So firstly in terms of bookings we have 5 travellers booked on the May departure (all on the Tibet add-on) and 3 booked on the June (2 taking the Tibet add-on)

The baggage allowance for checked allowance is 1 piece weighing no more than 23Kgs. The internal flights will be issued on the same ticket as the international flights.

In terms of upgrades, you can upgrade to business class on flights from London to Shanghai, but China Eastern currently do not have a Premium Economy cabin.

The Travel permit for Tibet is included in the visa costs for this tour with the team will arrange.

As for laundry, our overseas agent has advised that: Jardin Sacret Hotel has laundry service from 10 Yuan to 68 Yuan per piece for different materials with an extra 10% as a service charge. Normally collecting time is 10AM and sent to room in the evening time on the second day. The Gyangtse Hotel doesn’t have laundry service.

I think I've covered off the questions, but if not, please slap my wrists and let me know.

Kindest regards,

Julia

I am interested in doing this tour, but nervous as it is new to JY. Could you tell me if there are any May or June bookings for the tour with the add-on.

What is the baggage allowance for the internal flights?

I believe a separate travel permit is needed to travel to Tibet. Is it included in the JY visa service? If not, how is it obtained, and what is the additional cost?

Given the length of the holiday, and likely baggage restrictions, do the hotels in Tibet offer laundry services?

Is it possible to upgrade to premium or business class on the flights between London and Shanghai, and what is the provisional departure time from Heathrow.

Sorry to ask so many questions, thanks in advance for your help
