Try posting the tour name and date in a new thread on the say hello board you might get more of a response from there. I am not in this tour but did stop in HKG for a few days en route to New Zealand the other year.

Hi folks,

I agree with the extended safari destination, having enjoyed six fantastic game drives when I did S Africa and Zambia with JY in 2011. My suggestion is Tanzania - Ngorongoro and the Serengeti with a Zanzibar add-on! I understand TS/JY did this tour years back, so hopefully it will reappear one day, especially with Kenya (Mombasa) being a no-go area at present. A certain competitor does this Tanzania tour (all in single occupancy rooms, unlike the JY Kenya tour) but I wouldn't go with them as the date they run is in April, which all the websites say is the worst time to visit Tanzania (rainy season and horrendous humidity in Zanzibar). So Will, there is a challenge for you! What do the rest of you think? I'm still keeping my fingers crossed I'll be able to do Namibia next year...

Cheers,

Bob

I'm with you on the extended safari issue. I am totally addicted to safari and could easily spend 7-10 days animal watching with a few days beach at the end. I find it quite frustrating to only have two or three days safari on a trip, however I really do appreciate that we at least get that with the fab holidays JY offer. Perhaps Botswana as a destination in the future? As part of the Zambia extension to South Africa we spent a day at Chobe NP which was absolutely fantastic game viewing.

Hi Cindy

I can assure you that the Holyland trip is very safe. Honestly I did not have any fears at all when I went in 2012. Tell your husband there is nothing to fear. When I chose Jordan for my first Just You holiday I did have some people ask me why I wanted to go to the Middle East and my reply was that 'if it is your time to go, you will go no matter where you are' and this thinking does help. Of course, I would listen to official warnings about travelling to some countries! I hope you will pluck up the courage to go to Holyland one day. You will really like it.

Will,

Where in the world in deed, I don't want to sound like a spoilt princess!!!, but my dreams have been fulfilled, all with JY other than Australia, for me my dream was for many years Uluru (Ayers Rock), no idea why, I just felt a pull to go there, it lived up to all I wanted it to be, a Helicopter flight over the rock and the Olga's was amazing, I loved Sydney and Cairns so for me that has to be my No 1 holiday, Just such a shame JY cancelled the tour I was on and I couldn't fit in with other dates, I had to go on the booked dates. With JY New Zealand dream was Milford Sound so beautiful it made me shed a tear, it was perfect weather the day we were on the sound, stunning. Poland I booked this tour for the optional tour to Auschwitz harrowing I know but another thing on my tick list, USA far too many things to recount just fantastic tours, Tuscany the history and scenery, Austria the hills!! And scenery, Kenya was another dream to see animals in their natural habitat was just breathtaking my love for elephants has just grown from that tour.

So back to your question I honestly don't know what else could tempt me, I would love to travel on the Holy Land tour, but I can understand why my husband would not be happy if I did, from a safety point of view. I was very please to see the battlefield tour and have booked that for May, as for dream destinations, I think I would have to say elephants and big animals I have looked at the SA tour.

I must say I think the range of holidays across them all in this new brochure are amazing,so much choice and the fact that changes or holidays have been put in place after listening to the clients is very much appreciated.

Maybe you could set up a straw poll and see where others dream to go....if I had to pick it would be longer time on a Safari not as much sightseeing with optional add on for laying by the pool/beach.

Where's your dream Holiday destination Will...

it's so great that you have fulfilled your dreams Cindy. But I'm sure something will fire your imagination! There is no safer way to do Israel than with us - some of these destinations might sound a bit worrying on paper, but there is no way we would be there if there was any issues.

I went to Tokyo in 2010 for 4 days and I haven't stopped talking about it since. So I'm hoping next April I will be able to go back and also do maybe Kyoto and Hong Kong. I am also hoping to do Patagonia one day, need to save up for that one though!

Will:rolleyes:

Keep dreaming of places to visit and of course SAVING the penny's...my grandchildren are draining my money pot, LOL...
