Hi Janet,

Your friend would have been given information that applies to the main group in that we are unable to offer online check in as this is a group booking. I have spoken with a colleague in our aviation team who has provided me with two unique reference numbers that you should be able to use to check in online.

I have sent these to you in an email - please let me know if you do not receive this.

Thank you for offering to look into it for me.

I believe that my friend spoke to customer services today and was advised that this was due to a block booking of seats being made by Travelsphere but I do not understand how this removes the option for us to book online in advance (unless it restricts our choice of seats from the outset). I would appreciate it if you could please find out and explain further. I cannot see anything on the KLM website advising of any online booking restrictions due to this. With the flight being 12.5 hours duration it would certainly be preferable to have a good choice of seats as early as possible!

If we do have to book the flights at the airport can you please advise as to whether we can book both the UK to Amsterdam and also the Amsterdam to Peru flights from Durham Tees Valley or do we have to book the second leg of the journey when we reach Amsterdam.

On a previous posting someone has asked the question as to whether they would be able to check-in online when travelling to Peru/Amazon via local airport and Amsterdam and was told that they could do this.

I have just received my final documentation for my holiday to Peru/Amazon on 08/05 with Travelsphere and it advises that I cannot check in online. As I am travelling via Durham Tees Valley and Amsterdam with KLM can you please inform me as to why I cannot check in online.

My friend and I are travelling as singletons on this holiday and I feel that, if others on the plane are able to book in online and we are not, it could put us at a disadvantage in respect of both where we can sit on the plane and also the opportunity to sit together on the flight.
