Hi Julia,

Many thanks for taking the time to reply to my queries. Really looking forward to my first hol with JY. Excellent news that there will be so many JYers literally in the same boat!

Regards from Aled

Hi Aled,

Sorry for the delayed response - I was getting confirmation on the attire from a colleague.

So in answer to all of the questions....

Yhe Tour Manager provisionally allocated on the 29/3 departure is Filomena Lima and it looks like she will be meeting you in Oporto. The cruise is fully booked with 20 travellers booked with ages from mid-forties through to early-eighties. In terms of packing - there is no dress code on board the ship however we do advise the following:

"You may wish to take smart casual wear for the evening’s, or even a lounge suit for gentlemen and equivalent wear for ladies for the Farewell Gala dinner. Casual clothing and suitable footwear should be considered during the day for excursions."

I hope you have a wonderful trip and if you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Kindest regards,

Julia

Hi Ben,

My first hol with JY is rapidly approaching; river douro cruise from 27th march.

Just came across a query from a year ago posted by Sjm. Sylvia's questions then reflect my own to the point i have copied them! :

do you have the name of the tour manager for this cruise?

Will he/she fly out from Gatwick with us or will we be met at Oporto?

How many are booked, and what is the age range?

In addition to Sylvia's queries I would be grateful for any advice regarding what to pack in keeping with the norm for evening meals attire on the boat. Like Sylvia admit to be a little apprenhensive on embarking on my first solo hol.

Many thanks....Aled
