Many thanks for your efforts in arranging an alternative tour of Honolulu in place of Pearl Harbour. As I understand it, the USS Missouri at Pearl Harbour is still open (or at least it was earlier this week) as, unlike the USS Arizona memorial, it is not designated as a national monument. Would it be possible to visit Pearl Harbour to tour the USS Missouri (where the Japanese surrender was signed at the end of WW2) instead of the USS Arizona memorial? At least we would have some time at Pearl Harbour and presumably be able to see the USS Arizona memorial from a distance. Just a suggestion?? Mike

We are currently endeavouring to secure tickets for your group to visit this site as an alternative to Pearl Harbour. As you are aware, the Federal Government of the United States of America made the decision to withhold budget spend. This decision directly affects all Federal run institutions, which are now closed.

Hi Tim,

you should be getting a call today. Fortunately your tour isn't too badly affected. As it stands Pearl Harbour is closed and so we are arranging an alternative tour of Honolulu in case it is not reopened in time.

The Haleakala National Park where we have the sunrise excursion is also closed at present.

Other than that, this tour is running as planned.

I've spoken with your Tour Manager (Sharron, you will love her), and she is fully briefed and will be keeping in close contact with us here in case the situation changes.
