Hi Jenny, thanks for your info regarding Nepal. I was also keeping an eye out for Malaysia - perhaps JY will bring it back in a year or two? If I were you I'd avoid Saga for as long as possible as I'm sure you'd be the youngest by a couple of decades!!

All the best,

Bob

I went to Nepal with Travelsphere in October last year and had a fantastic trip. 30 people on the tour with 8 solo travellers. So obviously a popular tour. It would be nice to know when tours are going to be discontinued so that we can plan. One year JY had a tour of Malaysia which I planned following Vietnam but the next year it was cancelled. If I had known the tour was finishing I could have altered the sequence of the tours. However I have so many places to see I am never short of choices and as I am hitting the big 50 next year the world of Saga tours also opens up to me. Love JY but also will use any company going to where I want to go. So if Nepal comes up again please book as it is such a wonderful place to visit you would not regret it.

Thanks as always for the info Will!

All the best,

Bob

Hi Bob,

I'm not sure it's under consideration right now. I think it's likely Travelsphere will continue with it though.

Thanks

Will

Thanks for the posts, perhaps JY Will might be able to comment if it is likely for Nepal as a destination in its own right might make a comeback to either JY or Travelsphere in the next few years?

Cheers,

Bob

Hi,

When I first came across Just You back in 2004/05 I remember there being a trip to Nepal with JY, I was deciding between that trip and china, in the end I chose china, the Nepal trip disappeared very soon afterwards.

Put me down for Nepal. That's 2 of us. I considered this with travelsphere the end of last year then it soon sold out and then was dropped from the new brochure 😞
Hi Bob,

I don't think there is anything more constructive that thinking about destinations to travel and you certainly aren't wasting my time.

We have, in the past had a Nepal tour for Travelsphere, whether or not we also ran it for Just You I would trust the JY veterans, as it's not featured in my time here. Like you say, travellers can still visit the country on one of our tours, however this is as part of a larger tour incorporating both India and Nepal.

Each year, our team evaluate the tours that we run to determine whether or not to include them for the following year as it stands, whether it needs some tweaks or a complete overhaul. It might be that we rest a tour for a couple of years so that interest can be revitalized for it.

Sadly, even I'm not privvy to the new tours that make it in to the brochures for the following year, so I can't tell you whether or not Nepal will be returning to the brochure or website any time soon.

Kindest regards,

Julia

Hi Julia, you must think some of us (or at least me) have very little to think about! But I'm just wondering - the Nepal holiday run by Travelsphere has disappeared from their website and there are only a couple of India tours that feature it. I wouldn't want to do any of them as I did the JY Spirit of India last year. Has this tour been discontinued or will there be dates up later in the year? It's a holiday I've considered taking, but probably not for a few years. So if it's been dropped, perhaps it might have made a reappearance by the time I'd be thinking of doing it?! I understand from some veteran JY folks that JY used to run a Nepal tour a few years ago but it was dropped. Just curious and sorry for wasting your time!

All the best,

Bob
