They are not in the EU yet although confirmed that they will be next in (prob this year).
There are no definate plans to change to the euro although its been discussed, the very earliest it would happen is 2017 although in reality probably later.

Definately Kuna, was there last year.Found all the important things (coffee, cakes, ice cream, local beer, etc) very cheap compared to here.Mick

Very much so. I hope they continue to opt out of the Euro come July.
Croatia's official currency is the Kuna. Although some tourist business owners may accept Euros, they are not legal tender in the country.

Im going on the croatia istrian coast tour in september. Whats the currency that is used there, im seeing two opinions some say Euro some say Kuna, are you able to advise on this please?
