I've never been to America and always wanted to so it will be very exciting, hopefully will get to meet you in November if all goes to plan, take care, all the best Angela.

Hi Angela, I've done 5 JY hols and there has never been a couple on any of them. There have been a number of pairs of friends and occasionally a group of 3 or 4 travelling together - and of course JY veterans bump into people who they've met on previous hols but didn't book to travel together. So to put it simply with a typical group of 30 travellers, you might have 15 who are on their first JY hol, perhaps two or three pairs of friends travelling together and the rest being folks travelling singly who have done a number of JY hols before.

Hope this helps!

Bob

Thanks Bob, appreciate your reply, I got nothing to worry about, I should get on and book something!

Hello Angela

yes we are definitely all SINGLE travellers...not necessarily single people ..I have a husband for the last 31 years and a tour holiday is his total nightmare so I travel with Out him, HE DOES GOLF...so that's fine by me.

You will find people who could be personal friends or some of us buddy up with people we have met along the JY travels, I met a lady on my very 1st JY trip a USA tour in 2006 we buddied up and went on the East Coast liner USA tour and have also been on the Hong Kong..New Zealand tour and I am going to Florida with her as well...

it does work that you can find a travel buddy as you have the same choice in holidays, still do travel on my own and so does she..

Also my 1st tour I went with my Mother in Law who was newly widowed to give her support.. People travel on these tours for all sorts of reasons, I have met some men who care for their wife but need a break...there are many widows or widowers.

I did encounter one brother and sister once... But the main group will be single travellers, and to all buddied up so to speak...

It is the Travelsphere group that are for the married couples etc, but you can travel as a single on them if you like that tour, people on these boards have done that. It's worked well for them.

it is a very safe way for ladies to travel. No way is it a dating agency sort of thing, I am not saying that there has never been someone who have made a special!! Friend shall I say. I can say the men are not a problem, every one just wants a great safe holiday..

If I can help with anything else just ask... I am doing the Florida tour on the 16th

Hi Cindy, thats great, thanks very much for your help. I think i must have got my wires crossed somewhere but i'm clear now. I only want a holiday not looking for a dating agency, i wouldn't go if it was:s Enjoy Florida, that's where i'm thinking of, look forward to seeing your review when you return, all the best Angela.

Hi Angela,

Just you is only for solo travellers, who share the same interests, having booked on their sort of holiday. i have been on a few holidays with JY and have had a fantastic time on every one. I have never had a bad holiday with JY. Sometimes you will get two people who have met on previous holidays, and there are people of various ages, and all get on very well. You can be with the group if you want to, or not, if you prefer your own company. Go on, book it, you will not regret it. X

Thank you for your reply, very helpful. I'm looking forward to booking my first trip, i had better get my skates on as places seem to be filling up fast!

Hello Angela,

Just You is a holiday for solo travellers so the majority of our customers are travelling alone.

We are not a dating company and our "single" travellers are termed only by the fact that is their travel preference - customers may be in a relationship but enjoy different holidays. On occasion we do have people who have met on previous holidays that go on to book the same holiday to catch up, or family members who are trying out solo holidays for the first time with some familiar support, but these are in the minority.

I've taken a quick look at the bookings for the Florida holiday in November and at the moment there are 19 customers booked and there is nothing to suggest you would be in the company of any couples.

I'm sure some of our members will share their experiences of travelling with Just You too.

Kindest regards,

Julia

Hello Julia, thanks very much for your reply. That puts my mind at rest, it was just something i read on here, someone mentioned there may be people on same trip from your sister company, i just didn't want to be outnumbered by couples so thats fine. I definately only want a holiday and not a dating agency:thumbup: Thanks again, regards Angela.

BOB:P

You know what I mean LOL......

well no one has been a problem for me, but then again I don't appeal to many people these days :exclamation::exclamation::exclamation:

I could ask you the question are us LADIES a problem for you MEN:thumbup:

It all works itself out in the end.

Hi Cindy, I'm very glad to hear that you have found us men not to be a problem on JY hols!!!!
