I agree with you Mick, I really enjoyed Cesky Krumlov, and heartily recommend it to anyone who hasn't been there. However, if I repeat that holiday, I would opt out of this excursion because the length of time the journey takes would deter me. That's obviously a personal take - I'd spend the day around Lake Attersee instead.

My original post wasn't really about this one excursion, but about the principle of refreshing an elderly holiday product. Austrian Lakes is one of the few JY holidays that is on offer during the school holidays. Having done Salzburg twice, I would welcome an alternative, likewise with Apulia, I'd love a chance to look round, say Bari, instead of, say the olive oil place. Just a thought!

Ben,

Did this holiday last August and to add my opinion I certainly would NOT take out the visit to Cesky Krumlov (Czech Republic) although a long day it was my favorite trip.

Saying that I thought although the excurrsions were excellent, good variation of nice towns and beautiful lakes.

Good afternoon Gwyn,

Thank you very much for getting in touch. Our tour managers play a big part in this kind of thing; they always let us know which excursions are working well and being enjoyed and they give us suggestions where excursions are enjoyed less so. We do often change our excursion programmes and would always look to change something that wasn't popular.

I have forwarded your comments onto our product team, they, along with us do appreciate the continued feedback and suggestions made 🙂

Kindest,

Ben

Ben, I was wondering whether JY looks at refreshing the excursions offered as part of a long established product?

I loved the Austrian Lakes holiday I took in 2009. While I really enjoyed the excursion to that lovely old town in the Czech Republic, I found the long journey on dreadfully slow roads rather wearing. Has the company considered an alternative long day out on this holiday?

I don't know enough about Austrian roads to judge whether, say, Vienna could be a viable alternative? This suggestion isn't particularly to do with Vienna, but with the idea of offering a new option within what is obviously a popular, well established holiday.
