Also - many thanks Roy for updating and sharing your April 2013 luggage weight limit included in your itinerary for this holiday - which also states the current revised weight limits with Malaysia airlines
Am looking forward to Ben and / or Customer services updating us all prior to our March 20th 2013 Vietnam and Cambodia add on holiday re "current baggage allowance".
Many thanks

Over the years I have learned not to travel with too much stuff - you are the one who will have to carry or drag it! I take just enough for the holiday and this also means not too much washing when you return. Years ago I used to take lots and this was before the wheely suitcases came on the scene - obviously I was a bit stronger then!!
I wonder if you can look at this for us. I go on March 20th - not long to go now !!! My itinerary info does state 20kgs for checked baggage and 5kgs for hand luggage. I have rechecked the Malaysia airline website again and clearly states checked baggage - 30kgs and hand luggage - 7kgs. I personally don't want to take 30kgs !! a bit too heavy for me but it would be great to take a little bit more. Looking forward to your reply.

Hi Maggie, our luggage allowance was 20kg for the trip - I think it was actually 23kg for the international flights but 20kg for the internal ones, so overall you could say it was 20kg. Having said that, our tour manager said that if you are under 23kg, even on the internal flights you'll be ok. This proved to be true as many of us were over 20kg and there was no problem. There are three internal flights (if you're doing Cambodia, two if you're not) - Hanoi to Hue (after Halong Bay), Danang to Ho Chi Minh City and Phnom Penh to Siem Reap.Cheers,Bob

Hello Bob
Many thanks for your helpful reply. I think the weight issue remains due to the internal flights. Just very surprised when I looked at the Malaysia Airlines website that they have introduced a higher weight limit. I live in hope !! Also thanks for the internal flight info as well. That was very helpful too.
Am due to travel to Vietnam & Cambodia on 20th March 2013. Have just looked at Malaysia airlines baggage allowance. In February 2013 they have apparently raised the checked baggage by 10Kgs. So I think this would mean we can take 30 Kgs in Economy class !! Cant quite believe what I have read !! Also hand luggage up to 7kgs. They indicated that would be on all bookings taken prior to February 2013. I wonder if you could check this out and let us know if this applies to us.
Also wondered if you know who we fly with from Halong Bay to Hue on day 5 as this would also affect our baggage allowance.
