I can assure you that I felt very safe when I did this trip with Just You in October 2012. I travelled to Tel Aviv 3 days before the start of the main tour and felt quite safe going out to dinner on the beach by the hotel my myself and also going to the park not far away from the hotel. Also felt very safe on all excursions and travel on the coach. You will have a lovely time.

It's great to hear that you've booked to go on a trip that you've always wanted to do! It looks like the whole group is flying from Heathrow, so hopefully one of your fellow travellers will make contact before you travel.

We do include advice in the Israel information packs about problems of pick-pocketing of handbags and passports in major cities. This information is included in most holiday packs we send out as it is something that may happen in any major tourist destination and not just Israel. We don't include this to alarm customers but to ensure they are careful with personal belongings when travelling overseas.

The Just You Holyland tour doesn't travel to the areas that are at risk of rocket attacks - but it is worth noting that our teams carefully monitor situations overseas and should the FCO update their advice to include areas visited on this trip, the tour would be cancelled with the safety of our customers being the priority.

I am so excited 😃, I have finally booked to go to the Holy Land on 25th May. Something I always wanted to do. Is there anybody else who is booked for this trip and is leaving from Heathrow? Also, please, could you put my mind at rest as one of my colleagues keeps telling me to be careful over there, especially in crowded places, she is referring to possible bombings and stuff..

I thoroughly recommend the Holyland trip if Just You brings it back. I went in October last year and am so glad I did.

I used Travelsphere for the Israel trip (JY cancelled twice due to lack of numbers) in 2011. It was very good - just like the JY holidays. There was about 30/35 people on trip. Mainly married couples. But there were 4 single people (including myself). 2 lots of mother & daughters. 1 married couple with their son, 1 couple who was friends. The age ranges was fron 21 to mid seventies.

Hi Cindy - Thank you for the advice, I will definitely give them a ring. I have been thinking about this trip for a long time, but couldn't go ahead last year due to health reasons. Hopefully, they will have some other single people joining me 🙂. Fran

I am sure Ben will answer, but Just Your is part of Travelsphere, there holidays are more aimed at couples, but there can be single places on a tour you do have to pay single supplement. There are a few postings on these boards from people who have been a single traveller on a Travelsphere tour and they have had a good time. Perhaps try ringing them and see if there are any other single people going.

I hope you get to go on this trip, it is one I have in my mind for a few years time. Know those that have been have enjoyed it.
