Good afternoon Bob,

The voltage in Brazil is 220 volts, plugs are two pin, the voltage in Chile and Argentina is 220 volts, three pin plugs are used. An international adapter plug is recommended.

I hope this helps,

Kindest,

Ben

Hey Ben any info for me on this?

Waiting in anticipation,

Best wishes,

Bob

Thanks Cindy, even the ones that were marked "Swiss Travel" seemingly were cheap copies made in China! If Ben can't shed any light I'll bring my Boots combi piece-together one and also keep my eyes peeled at the airport! There might be some interesting sharing of implements on this holiday!!

All the best,

Bob

OH well it was worth a try, I would say the one I have is defantly not flimsy very sturdy in fact. It has seen me well over the years, you could always risk it and then just ask at the reception in the hotels if they can help you out it depends what you need it for?. I have shared hairdryers with other ladies and irons etc and even phone chargers, so sharing works as well.

GOOD LUCK let's hope BEN!! can give you an answer

Cindy

Hi Ben I'm off to South America with Travelsphere next month and I hope you won't mind answering a question for me! I'm going to Chile, Argentina and Brazil and I've looked at the websites that describe the plugs and sockets used throughout the world. The problem is that for each country they list several different types of plugs/sockets and in Brazil up to 27 different types are used! I'm guessing that in the hotels we'll be staying at type C will be used, the general European two pin type but could you check up for me with the travel advisors? If not I'll have to bring all the adaptors I have and hope for the best!

(By the way Cindy if you're reading this, I did look into universal adaptors on Amazon and all the ones listed did not work in some countries and had some bad reviews that they were flimsy or didn't work etc so now I don't know what to do for the best!)

Cheers,

Bob
