No compensation I'm afraid but looking on the bright side we are at least travelling with BA so can get free drinks on board unlike a few other airlines.

Your customer services man gave me a call and explained that because of the non availability of a lounge in terminal 5 it wasn't included in the price.
He was very polite and helpful and we had a good chat, gave him my opinion on some of the holidays I've previously done which he was interested in the feedback.

Just recieved notification from JY that we will be unable to use the Executive Lounge in terminal on my Route 66 holiday.
Although I accept that no lounges are available in terminal 5 I always thought the the excutive lounge was included in the price for long haul holidays.
Yet their is no mention of any refund/confirmation of this money, why is this ?
