So far we have six people for this holiday (seven with you too) and we still have more than six months to go, so there should be a good-sized group by the time you travel. I haven't been to Vietnam but it sounds like a fascinating place to spend Christmas.
Kind regards,

I am thinking very excitedly of booking the Christmas 2012 trip to Vietnam . Has anyone booked yet? What are the numbers looking like. Need a bit of encouragement to take the plunge........
So far 34 people have booked - 25 women and nine men.
Kind regards
Have you an update on the total number of people going to Vietnam on the 1st Oct and also the mix of male / female. I have been watching out for any more posts, but other than the very helpfull reply I had from Iris it has been a bit quiet.
Kind regards Max
There are a number of reasons for this.
The main one is that like all forums we receive a lot of spam messages - for example, companies selling pharmaceuticals, watches etc, so moderation gives us a chance to remove these. It also allows us to remove any inappropriate messages which may cause offence.
We aim to publish new messages as soon as possible - usually within 24 hours on weekdays and sometimes faster than that.
So far 21 people have booked this holiday.
It's hard to say how much you will need without knowing if you are someone who likes to spend a lot or very little. I would bear in mind that you will need money for four lunches and three dinners (it is possible to eat very cheaply in Vietnam, but I would allow about US$5-10 per meal). You'll also need money for drinks, tips, souvenirs, optional excursions (we will send you full details of these two weeks before you fly), plus any other expenses.
Personally I would take about US$300-400 plus extra for any optional excursions.
