Hi Shirley

In the past I have always found money belts a good way to transport currency when travelling. But I would also say that China is one of the safest countries you could visit and I would be surprised if you have any trouble while you are there.

Kind regards

Olly, that really is very reassuring to know

Many thanks, Shirley

Hi Olly

I've read posts about spending money for this trip and from what I can gather it is recommended that x amount in currency and £200 - £300 in clean twenty pound notes. I don't have a problem with this, my question is one of security. If I have this amount of cash on my person do you have any suggestions about carrying it, handbag / back pack seems a bit insecure as you could lose it or worse still stolen, in general do you think touring travellers tend to use money belts? I realise this sounds a bit churlish and I'm not overly concerned I'm just trying to cover all aspects and buy the right type of travel accessories.

Many thanks, Shirley
