Hi PennyYes, CashCase would be fine on this holiday. You will be able to use it at ATMs and in many shops and restaurants. Have a look at this link for more details on how it works:http://www.cashcase.co.uk/justyou As a tourist, you may take up to 5,000 South African Rand into the country, which is about £400.We are working to make all excursions bookable in advance and many holidays do now work in this way but I'm afraid you can only use cash for this holiday at the moment. If you are worried about carrying a lot of cash, your CashCard will be very useful as you can withdraw cash only when you need it.Kind regardsOlly, your editor

Thankyou Olly for that.

I have booked to go on the South Africa Explorer holiday on July 26th and was thinking about ordering a cashcase card.Is this a good idea for this holiday?I understand the best currency to use would be British pounds.
Also, I think I am right in saying that there is a maximum amount of rand you can take out there and that the excursions have to be paid for in South Africa and not in advance? I've read on your pages that you're working on this, has this changed at all yet?
Many Thanks
