Hi Dulci

I'm sure your hearing won't be a problem. Our tour managers usually have loud and clear voices (a necessity of the job!) so if you stay close to him or her, you won't miss out on anything interesting.

Kind regards

Hello Dulci

You have nothing to be nervous about on this forum, If you need to ask a question about a holiday this is the

place to do it. If you want to know what sort of people go on JY holidays just walk down your local high street.

My advise is to just choose a holiday and go, you won't regret it.

Dave.

Hi Olly,

Thank you for your reassuring reply. I have one further concern with travelling alone although with others. That is I'm quite deaf in both ears and have been all my life. However in spite of missing the finer details of conversation etc I was educated in mainstream schools with no special provisions for my disability, likewise when I was working. Am I right in thinking that fellow travellers on Just you trips might be helpful in filling me in on matters I may miss out on? I would like to do the Spirit of India trip in the latter part of this year.

Hi Dulci

Our Discovery Weekends are great if you really need a little extra reassurance. You'll meet lots of other people who have the same sort of questions as you and the experience will probably give you the confidence you need to book a longer holiday. If you decide single travel isn't for you, you've still had a nice weekend away and it won't have cost you very much.

But plenty of people want to go for a longer holiday straight away. If you're comfortable about meeting new people you might be better off choosing a country you've always wanted to see and going for it!

Whichever option you go for, I'm sure you won't regret it.

And please don't worry about the pictures in the brochure, as these are usually produced using professional models. Of course some Just You customers are groomed and flawless but the majority are ordinary people like you and me! What they all have in common is a desire to see the world and enjoy the company of other single travellers.

Kind regards,

Hello, This is my first time on the just you community forum. I have been thinking of a holiday with Just you for ages but have until now felt too nervous to join in. Should I go on one of the Discovery weekends and meet some of the people who travel alone? There are a lot of places I want to go to but no longer have a travel companion to go with.

I am also a bit put off by the travellers featured in theJust you brochures because they all look so well groomed and flawless...are there any of you that don't fit that category, because I don't!
