I checked with a colleague who tells me that you pay this to the ship's staff before you embark. Paying in sterling should be fine.

I notice that in the brochure Just You request each passenger pays a one off tip of $22.50 for the Cruise part of the holiday. Can you tell me please who collects it. Is it the Tour Manager or is it paid before travel? Also, does it have to be paid in dollars or can it be paid in sterling. I wasn't planning to take dollars as a lot of threads suggest that the currency to take is sterling, albeit that the notes must be clean and not over £20.00 in value.
