Hi Lorraine

Your bags will be checked through on the way to China but on the way back you will need to collect your bags and check them in again at Heathrow.

On the way to China you will need to go from Terminals 1 to 3, and the way back you will go from Terminal 3 to Terminal 5.

Kind regards,

Olly, your editor

Hi Lorraine

Don't worry - I know it can be a bit daunting first time but you'll be amazed how quickly you start enjoying your holiday once you meet up with the group.

I can find out whether your bags need to be rechecked. Please let me know your booking reference and I will look into it.

Your tour manager or airport rep will meet you at Terminal 3, either at the check-in desks or the departure gate.

Kind regards

Hi Olly,

Information arrived safely and the only thing I wondered about is that I fly into Heathrow terminal 1 but leave from Terminal 3 and would my luggage go straight through to Beijing from my departure airport Edinburgh or will I have to collect in terminal 1 and transfer to terminal 3. I have checked that BMI is a partner to Air China and usually I have found in similar circumstances the luggage goes straight through to the arrival airport. Also where is the JY representative meeting me Terminal 1 or Terminal 3 Heathrow?

Sorry to sound a bit pensive but first time with your company so don't know the routine.

regards Lorraine

HI Debbie

It sounds like everything is fine with your visa application.

Visa applications can be different for different people depending on all sorts of factors - including whether they have a connecting flight and how close to departure they booked. So don't worry about what others say about their visa - we'll make sure that your visa is done in the right way and at the right time.

Hello Meeley

I know what you mean about thinking you are the only one on a trip. I am going to Prague, Vienna and Budapest on 16 May and no one responded to my post ... that is, no one who was going at the same time as me. Other people going earlier and later did respond. I contacted Olly who informed me that there are 31 people booked on the trip. Not everyone is computer literate, eh? Hope you have a great holiday. Chris

Hi Lorraine

We'll send you all the confirmed details around two weeks before you travel, so you should get this letter in early May. Most of our tickets are e-tickets now so you will probably get a reference number rather than paper tickets.

Hi Olly (and Hi Lorraine - looking forward to meeting you).

This makes me a little uneasy as I booked through my travel agent and we filled in the visa application as part of the booking process which he submitted with a photocopy of my passport back in February. I received a text message within days from VisaService saying "We have received your visa application. This will now be processed, and confirmation will be sent with your final information approximately 14 days before departure." I presume the text is from JustYou and on face value that all sounds fine but the fact that Lorraine has already received her visa makes me wonder if I've done everything correctly or if there is a different system when booking through an agent.

Does this all sound ok to you?

Many thanks,

Debbie

Hello Olly

I am going on the 16th May on this China trip and its my first time with JY. Got my visa but just wondered when the information regarding times of flights/connections will be forwarded to me, and also when the tickets will be issued.

Thanks

ps sorry Meeley I am in my 50's but with a young and adventurous mind.

Thanks for the reassurance Olly.
