You are right - the weather is much more warm and dry on the coast (typically about 20-25 degrees Celsius in March). Up in the mountains it is wetter (so take waterproofs) and quite a lot colder because you are at altitude - possibly as low as 6 degrees. My tip is to take plenty of layers as it can get very warm when the sun is out and very cold as soon as the sun dips behind the clouds.
As for jabs, please talk to your GP as they will know your medical history. I needed to have a yellow fever jab when I went but check with your GP to be sure.
