Hi Cindy, Thanks a lot for the information. you are a star. I have read your other info elsewhere and really appreciate it as I am sure others do.

Regards, Richard.

Richard.

I took all my money in cash ..(mad I know) I dont know if on your paperwork there is mention of extra trips in HKG there was not on mine so I ended up putting two trips = £ 138.00 on my credit card. So beware you might need extra HKG dollars for that part

Also most of the flights as in Helicopter or sea plane the tour company that runs these does take credit cards for these payments. I did not do the sea plane I was down for an extra air ride for whale watching but this did not happen due to poor weather I did manage to do helicopter over fox glacier and land on that FANTASTIC!!!! ..

So when we got there there actually were 3 more trips as well the whale watching one by air, a wine tasting tour visiting 4 winery's and another to the antartic exhibition.

SO BE aware there might be even more extra's to go on.

Regarding the travel plug it's the same as the one you would use for USA.. two pin but looks like angled flat pins? does that make sence. I have one adapter but its universal so has two or three options.

Just be aware that with the flight extras these do not happen unless the weather conditions are good. But if that's what you want to do allow the money for them.

There are hairdryers and irons etc in all but one hotel, and laundry facility's in about 3 or 4 hotels for you to do washing. As you cannot pack for all the days or you will be over the limit. When there are the 4, 1 nights in hotels we packed a holdall so we didnt have to keep draggin the case on coach and off every night made it much easier. So might be worth chucking in a holdall bag. Then you can use it for hand luggage on way home with all your gifts?!!

Hello Cindy,

Thanks for your reply and I am so pleased that you enjoyed the trip. It now makes me look forward to going even more as I have waited years for the chance to visit New Zealand and the Hong Kong bit is a plus.

I have read up so much and there are only two things to ask really, firstly the trips amount to £1000+ and they advise that they may not accept visa which means carrying a lot of cash and the other is the odd shape of their plug sockets and whether they are 2 or 3 pin. I will check at the airport and buy 2 adapters.

Good luck in any future trips.

Richard.

Hello Richard

I got back Tuesday.

Well what a tour FANTASTIC is all I can say....if there is anything you need to ask just say and I will try and help you.

Regarding dress code WELL ANYTHING GOES to be honest. as your a MAN I would say. Take jeans casual trousers, comfy shoes, perhaps casual shirt or polo shirts type. Keep it comfy as there is a lot of sitting on coaches etc, and flying is very long haul!!!...the men kept if casual, some ladies dresses up A BIT for the couple of meals out but not the men as much.

Hi Richard

We don't usually offer any advice on dress code. As you say it is all very informal with Just You so you are free to wear whatever you feel comfortable with. Many of our customers choose to wear smart casual for evening meals.

Kind regards,

Olly, your editor

Hello Olly. I am visiting Hong Kong and New Zealand in February on my first Just You holiday. I wonder when we recieve our documents whether we are given any indication of the dress code for eating both in and out of our hotels in the evening. I have the impression that NZ is fairly laid back and would therefore expect smart casual would be the norm. Any guidance would be usefull.

Regards

Richard.
