The Amazon add-on does include some walking tours but nothing too strenuous so I'm sure you will be fine. It's more about seeing the region's amazing wildlife and experiencing the unique culture than it is about hiking. The terrain isn't too challenging but walking boots are definitely a good idea.
Kind regards,

It's likely to be warm (20-30 degrees Celsius) and very wet in the jungle so some good rainwear is essential. I've never owned a poncho so I don't know much about them but I would say it is worth splashing out (pardon the pun) on some reasonably good rainwear. It would be a shame if getting wet detracted from your experience.
I have forwarded your other questions to our agents in Peru and I will let you know when I hear back.
Could you advise me what rain wear is preferable for the rain forest. I have read that a poncho is good. How wet and warm is the weather likely to be and do you need a good quality poncho or would a cheap one be ok? Also, how much treking is involved in the holiday and how difficult is the terrain?
Many thanks,
Bridget
