Hello all

I've just learned that our Alaska cruise was discontinued because it became too difficult for us to book single cabins. It is no reflection on the cruise, as this was very popular.

I agree. I went on the Canada/Alaska cruise holiday last year. Whilst Canada was great, taking into consideration travelling time, the actual holiday is rather short without the Alaska cruise add-on.

I am surprised as a good number of our party opted for the cruise add-on.

I am also disappointed that some of these tours have gone. I had been planning the Canadian Rockies, the Rock Mountaineer and Alaska in 2012. A real shame.

I'm afraid those tours have all been discontinued. This happens for a number of reasons but usually because demand hasn't been high enough. So my guess is that it is unlikely these holidays will return in exactly the same form. However, you may well see some of those destinations return in other combinations.

There isn't any way of finding out which tours will continue so all I can suggest is to do any tours that you really want to do as soon as you can.

There are a number of new tours in the new brochure - I hope you will be inspired by one of these options.

Thanks for the reply Ben but you haven't really answered my question!! Have those tours definitely been scrapped and is there any chance they will be reinstated? Is there any way we can find out if a tour is to be discontinued? I'm off on the South African Explorer on Wed, but look forward to your reply on my return!!

The new Just You brochure is due to be mailed out at the end of this week. I can see that Hong Kong has indeed been discontinued, I can only apologise for this (although not my decision 🙂 )

Hi Olly,

I've been scrolling down the recently updated list of holidays for next year and it seems like a number of holidays have been discontinued - Kerala, Shanghai/Xian/Beijing, the Alaska add-on to the Canadian Rockies, as well as the Florida swamp excursion on the New Orleans trip. Is this correct and is there any chance these will be re-introduced in future years? I had been hoping that the Wonder of China would be expanded to include Shanghai and Hong Kong (even as an add-on), but that hasn't happened either. Is there any way of finding out if JY are going to discontinue a particular holiday, so I don't miss out on it before it disappears, possibly for ever??!!
