There are two restaurantes on site an Indian and Italian you do of course have to pay for your meal at these places.I did this holiday + add on and myself and some other ladies ate in both of these it broke the tedium on buffet meals. The Indian meal was very nice and in air cond surroundings which was pleasant, the Italian was just by the entrance and outside but under cover. Breakfast was ample you don't really need lunch, but there is a snack bar for light food if you need it.

On another subject there is a spa treatment place on site so treat yourself to a treatment, I had a manicure and Indian Head Massage at a fraction of what you pay in England. You do need to book.

Also there is a childrens aids orphanage near by that love to have people visit, so take pens pencils colouring pads etc the kid always need that sort of stuff.

If you need more information on anything just ask. You will have a great holiday.

Hi Karen

The add-on stay is on a half-board basis so your breakfast and dinner will be included.

http://www.travellersbeach.com/index.php  and includes info about the different restaurants. I couldn't see any prices here but I expect you will be able to get lunch for around £5-£10 per day. You may want to go and explore Mombasa on some of the days, so you will be able to pick up some lunch on your travels. Alternatively, you could just have a big breakfast and an early dinner!

Kind regards,

Olly, your editor

Olly, I'm booked on the Magic of Kenya holiday departing 12 Oct 11. I've extended my stay by 5 nights and understand the extension is based on room only? Is this the case and, if so, can meals be taken at the hotel and and what cost? Many thanks
